Storm Damaged West Oakland Art Studio

The flat rolled-roof failed in this Oakland area building during a severe storm. Rainwater soaked the ceiling panels and the batten insulation adding great weight to the framed drop ceiling. Our SERVPRO crew removed the hazardous hanging debris as shown in the After Photo. Our client was concerned about the artwork and supplies, so we quickly relocated them to a dry area of the studio/warehouse. Within several days the advanced drying equipment had done its job of removing excess moisture from the interior. The holes in the roof were covered with tarps until a permanent repair could be made.
