Wind and Storm Damage in Oakland

Strong winds blowing off of San Francisco Bay can tear the roofs off structures in the Oakland area. This breached structure suffered water and structural damage to the ceiling panels and the batten insulation. SERVPRO arrives quickly, and we immediately contain the hole with a blue tarp. Once we remove the hanging ceiling debris, we can port warm air into the attic void to dry out the trusses and the insulation. And then, spray an antimicrobial agent to prevent mold growth and disinfect the water-damaged attic. The poly sheeting contains the attic space from the living quarters to keep the dust out plus to enhance the evaporation rate.
