Storm Damage in West Oakland
The water on the carpeted floor in this West Oakland home has caused more damage than the first appearance shows in the Before Photo. The window area's saturation necessitated removing the drywall from below that opening, as shown in the After Photo. We removed the carpet for drying elsewhere since the water was not contaminated. The baseboards were pried off so that we could dry the walls without further demolition. The air movers and the LGR dehumidifier are completing the drying cycle of this project. With the extra effort, we can salvage all of the materials as we strive to restore and not replace building elements and contents.
